Hi, I’m Luke.
I train clients one-to-one at the Health & Fitness Club, Bedford Lodge Hotel, in Newmarket.

My story
My journey with weight training began at just 11 years old, driven by my involvement in athletics and rugby at a competitive level. I competed in the 100m at English Schools level and played rugby at both county and academy level.
At 15, I suffered an ACL tear, which meant spending much more time in the gym during my rehabilitation. What initially started as a way to recover from injury quickly developed into a genuine passion for training. It was during this time that I realised I wanted to turn that passion into a career, helping others achieve their goals and become the best versions of themselves.
Becoming a personal trainer was the perfect fit, allowing me to share my love of fitness while helping others build strength, confidence and a healthier lifestyle.
That passion eventually led me into competitive bodybuilding, where I went on to win the British Men’s Physique title. From there, I had the opportunity to travel the world, attend fitness expos and work as a fitness model, experiences that were a dream come true.
Everything I’ve experienced, from competitive sport and injury rehabilitation to bodybuilding and coaching, has shaped my approach to training. I understand the dedication it takes to achieve a goal, the importance of consistency and the confidence that comes from pushing beyond what you thought was possible.
Now, my aim is to use that experience to help my clients achieve their own goals, whatever their starting point.

More than just personal training
One of the most rewarding parts of my job is watching clients discover what they’re truly capable of. Seeing someone exceed their own expectations and achieve things they never thought possible is what makes personal training so worthwhile.
This is especially true for women over 40 who may have spent years believing that lifting weights isn’t for them, or that getting stronger is out of reach. Watching their confidence grow as they realise just how much they can achieve is incredible. The gym transforms from somewhere they never wanted to go into somewhere they genuinely look forward to visiting, excited to see what they can accomplish next.
With over 13 years of experience as a personal trainer and a degree in Physical Education and Coaching, I’ve worked with an incredible range of clients across different ages, abilities, body types and backgrounds. I understand that everyone has their own starting point, challenges and ambitions, and I tailor my approach to suit the individual.
Your goal doesn’t have to be rock-hard abs or a complete body transformation. It might be feeling confident enough to walk into a gym, getting stronger as you get older, feeling comfortable on the beach, or simply feeling happier and more confident in your own skin. Whatever your goal looks like, it matters.
You don’t need to be fit before you start, and you certainly don’t need to know what you’re doing. That’s what I’m here for.
My job is to help you build strength, confidence and a healthier relationship with exercise, while making the process enjoyable along the way. There’ll be hard work, plenty of progress, and most importantly, a good laugh and a joke along the way.
You might surprise yourself with what you can achieve. All you need to do is take that first step.
Train with me.
Sessions are one-to-one at the Health & Fitness Club, Bedford Lodge Hotel, Monday to Friday.
